Reporting to the Head of Knowledge and Information Management, this role will be responsible for the management and development of electronic and physical documents and records policy and guidelines.
Duties will include:
• Maintenance and development of a new EDRMS
• Co-ordinating a team of ‘Records/Information Champions’ and coaching and training staff in the use of and best practice of the EDRMS.
• In liaison with the Information Services Directorate ensuring development of the EDRMS, for example identifying and managing implementation of upgrades and enhancements.
• Ensuring that legal and regulatory requirements are complied with as well as updating information policies and guidelines.
• Managing external EDRMS and off-site storage supplier relationships.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in information and records management with demonstrable working knowledge of maintaining and developing, as well as using an EDRMS; Wisdom would be ideal.
Comprehensive understanding of the requirements of the Public Records, FOI and Data Protection Acts in relation to the public sector will be essential.
Experience of designing an organisation wide electronic file plan and/or implementing a new EDRMS as well as a qualification in Records or Information Management would be an advantage.

The post will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective service, to satisfy the requirements of the business for published information (company market, statistical and economic information) as well as ad hoc enquiry support. To represent the department within the organisation and externally, including within the information community.
The duties will include supporting business needs by answering a range of research requests in a timely manner, as well as promoting the information department’s services to both current and potential clients. Maintaining and improving existing information collections, systems and procedures, identifying new resources and managing supplier contracts and negotiations.
Further responsibilities will include leading the conversion of an existing journal management system to Heritage and facilitating this change.
Experience of managing a small team will be essential, as the role will provide for the continuing development of the team and other staff members to ensure they have the correct skill sets. Implementing and monitoring performance and service standards and managing other personnel matters such as recruitment and health and safety.
Suitable candidates will have previous business information management experience with an excellent knowledge of a range of information resources, and information management systems, Heritage in particular. Previous experience working in the UK retail sector would be ideal. Candidates will be customer focused with excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills, and be interested in developing their knowledge of this organisation.
